An important and unsettled question in modern Theosophy is its relationship to the teachings of Krishnamurti, a topic that several contributors here have already written extensively about.
What are the the points of agreement and divergence? Are they complementary, or contradictory? What can each side learn from the other?
(For this particular discussion, I’ll ask that we stay focused on the teachings rather than the personalities or narratives. Also, please include links to your own published materials to supplement the conversation.)
Sale of Tekels Park to a Development Company
Is it true that anyone who is raising concerns about the fate of the Tekels Park wildlife is now barred from Theoversity courses?
In case enquirers don’t know about this;
Tekels Park, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 2LF, owned by the Theosphical Society in England, is a 50 acre sanctuary for animal wildlife including deer, foxes, squirrels, badgers and stoats, and for birdlife including sparrowhawks, woodpeckers, tawny owls and many more. There are many species of trees including 3 types of redwood, ginkgo, eucalyptus, red oak, tall magnolias and lebanese cedars.
Tekels Park is now being sold to a development company and the sale is being kept quiet.
The fate of the wildlife is of serious concern and the Theosophical Society in England won’t comment on the issue.
A Spiritual Organisation – but what about the Tekels Park animals?
Selling a wildlife sanctuary to a property development company while showing complete indifference to the fate of the animals makes a joke out any claim that the Theosophical Society in England (Adyar) has to being a spiritual organisation.
The Theosophical Society in England refuses to answer any questions about Tekels Park.
Are the Tekels Park animals going to be killed, yes or no?
The silence of the Theosophical Society in England’s leadership indicates YES.
Theosophical Society in England Breaks Up
The Theosophical Society in England has split over the the sale of Tekels Park to a development company and has lost over half its members. The president Eric McGough will not answer questions about Tekels Park and has become very difficult to find.
Compassion for animals is no longer on the Theosophical Society in England’s agenda. Is there a COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS MODULE in the new DIPLOMA IN THEOSOPHY that the Society in now offering?
The remaining Theosophical Society members are concerned that Tekels Park will be sold for a bargain basement price and this is another issue on which the leadership remains silent.
So much for a “Spiritual Organisation”
The Theosophical Society really needs to sort this out if it is going to continue.
I’ve has a good look at the Theosophical Society in England’s Diploma in Theosophy webpage and there is absolutely nothing about compassion for animals.
I can’t find any mention of the fate of the Tekeks Park animals on the Theosophical Society in England’s website. They just don’t care do they?
Are the Tekels Park animals going to be killed?
It certainly looks like they are
What’s this I hear?
The proceeds from the sale of Tekels Park are going to be used to buy premises in Bangor, North Wales.
I hope that people are told where the money came from before they enter the building.
