I don't believe that there is no Path (to the Truth, to Enlightenment..), but that there is no 'One Path' - a Path that JK, or anyone else, could have prescribed when asked. Each of us must find our own Path from our own intuitive response to our own experience. We must as HPB said, "Become the Path", which requires effort, and earnestness on our part. There is no roadmap, no cookbook, no short-cuts.

So the Truth is not a Pathless Land, but a Land of many Paths - one for each of us. And we know from observing the results of others, like JK, that there is indeed a 'mountaintop', and that they must have followed some 'path' to get there. It can be done - there is hope.

The best that someone who has reached that mountaintop can do, is to recommend that one climb ever upwards, even though they could not say whether one should turn right or turn left in their climb. They might also light a fire at the summit, so to speak, to act as a beacon for those seeking, those climbers below. The suggestions of the Jnanis are a beacon, but only pointers, signposts, and not a roadmap. "Don’t talk of means, there are no means".

Pablo, you alluded to 'obstructions'. It would be better to imagine the Path as removing obstructions to the 'Truth', rather than seeking 'things' or 'knowledge' we do not have and believe necessary for reaching our goal. We are already all that we need to be; we just do not realize it. The lower self denies it, and covers our real nature with 'obstructions'. This lower self that believes that it lacks, and therefore seeks to add to itself, must be turned around, and seen for what it is. In fact, it must (figuratively) die so that the true Self can become dominant.

So, IMHO, Truth is not a Pathless Land, but a Land where one must blaze his own trail, find his own Path, hopefully with a beacon leading him upward. But by his own efforts alone will he reach "Truth". Remember, that Path is removing obstructions to the Truth, or 'the false', not adding 'stuff'. As said in the beautiful prayer of St. Francis, "It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life".
